Brittany Collins & Emily Richardson for Outstanding Service

Brittany Collins came to The Arc of the Triangle through a chance meeting between her and her QP. Brittany's amazing personality won her an interview and her compassion, education and skills won her a job. Brittany primarily supports a 12 year old boy with cerebral palsy whose physical disabilities make it very hard for him to do typical things. Brittany is amazing at making sure he is engaged, happy and well supported. Her mom had this to say: "Brittany is like family. As soon as our son knows she is on her way he gets so happy. She gives us assurance. Because we know she cares."

Emily Richardson has been an asset to The Arc for over a year now. Emily works with a child who requires exceptional care in the Orange County area. Emily goes above and beyond the call of duty to also assist the child’s mother who uses a wheelchair. Although this family has experienced some difficult times, Emily continues to be there for them while maintaining a positive attitude. Emily never complains but simply views these situations as an opportunity to make a difference. Emily has been instrumental in ensuring the ongoing integration of her participant. Emily is an excellent communicator. In appreciation for all that you do for The Arc of the Triangle and the family you serve, hats off to you, Emily… You Rock!!!
