Brenda Sartwell for Outstanding Service & Will Hammond for Outstanding Documentation
Brenda is a wonderful staff member who works with an individual in Siler City. Brenda has been incredibly creative in finding activities and events for her participant, despite the relatively few recreational opportunities in her participant’s area. Brenda is always thinking outside the box to help her participant get engaged in his community and find new and different things to do. Highlights of their trips together have included a visit to the Wizard of Oz cast, riding the Santa train at the holidays, and attending a building workshop at Lowe’s. This participant’s grandmother reports that, since Brenda began working with him, the participant has had the opportunity to do more things than he has in his entire life. Thank you so much to Brenda for your amazing work and all you do for your participant!
Will Hammond has been an asset to the Arc of the Triangle as well as the Chapel Hill community since January 2015. Will has a strong work ethic. He ensures that his documentation is clinical, descriptive, accurate and always submitted within the structured time given. When requesting time off, Will emails his supervisor (two weeks in advance) a detailed description of his job duties and time spent on each task for whomever may fill in for him. Will is held in high regard with Extraordinary Ventures staff, Arc of the Triangle, his community, participant and family for his hard work, dedication and kind heart.
