2020 Schedule coming soon!

The next Arc Talk will be at our Chapel Hill office on Thursday January 23rd from 6pm-8pm.

TOPIC: Communication Strategies for Individuals with IDD

Communication is one of the main vulnerabilities for individuals with IDD. Challenges with communication can lead to misdiagnosis, caregiver burnout and ineffective strategies being utilized due to not understanding the needs of the individual. In this presentation we will explore what communication deficits look like for individuals with IDD and proactive strategies that can be implemented for positive support that are based on an individual’s strengths and interests.

Please contact Eileen Patrick or call 919-942-5119 x120 if you would like to register to attend this training.
