Al (short for Alexandra) Smith is from Ocean Isle Beach, NC, and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology in 2019. She began working as a direct support professional with adults in the IDD community while still in college, where she found her passion that directed her future career. She continued working in residential facilities as a manager and supervisor until joining the Triangle Disability and Autism Services time in 2023. In her free time, you might find her spending time with her dog, working on art projects, or hiking.”
